Biography
Jey Wang (she/her), working under the artist name jyywng, is a London-based sound and multimedia artist working across sound, installation, text and interactive media.
Positioning herself as a listener and translator, she approaches artistic practice as an act of translating what language cannot hold. Her works dwell in moments where language begins to fail—where tension, intimacy and psychological states can no longer be spoken, but remain insistently present.
Rooted in questions of gender, migration and belonging, her recent practice examines how these conditions shape lived experience and how artistic form can make internal tensions perceptible without reducing them to explanation.
